- טְרַשII (cmp. טְרַק II) to lock up, obstruct; (neut. v.) to be stopped up, (trnsf.) to be deaf, silent. Tanḥ. Vayishl. 8 מהולתך טַרְשָׁאוכ׳, v. חֲרַש; Ylamd. to Lev. 27, end and to Num. 21:1 (quot. in Ar.).Lam. R. to I, 17 (read:) ט׳ סלקית וט׳ נחתית (not טמשא) silent do I go up (to Jerusalem) and silent do I go down.
